South Jersey wineries hoping to expand business through new wine-shipping law

For the first time ever in New Jersey, wine may now be shipped directly to consumers from both in-state and out-of-state wineries following years of legislative debate.

The direct shipping bill — which was signed into law in January — allows direct shopping of wine to New Jersey residents from small wineries throughout the country.

Baker's daughter, Pamela Johnson, who lives in Princeton, NJ. She rewarded Mr. Frizell's interest by giving him an ornate Japanese cocktail shaker once owned by Baker. The shaker, possibly dating from the 1920s or '30s, is footed and high-shouldered and shaped like a teapot. …three of these grapes are growing in popularity. Chambourcin has really taken hold in New Jersey and Pennsylvania where folks are tasting more and more quality wine made with this fruit. Marquette is absolutely the fast growing darling of the cold hardy world. Winemakers can't seem to find enough. And Leon Millot is one of the old traditional hybrids, once discarded, which now seems to be seeing a quality wine resurgence.
