Sourced from the magnificent Agrelo Vineyards in the heart of Mendoza and with the snow-capped Andes as a most scenic backdrop, this Malbec is especially made for us by the prestigious Pulenta Estate. Eduardo Pulenta has fashioned a gloriously fruity wine, with a rich savoury backdrop, fine ripe tannins and a food-friendly profile dominated by damson, blackberry and sloe flavours. This is an outstanding example of Argentina's signature grape variety, a worthy match for the barbecue and indeed any meal which involves the finest cuts of red meat.

…peculiar given the fact that it has no sauvignon blanc in it. It is made from 50% malbec, 40% syrah and 10% petit verdot. But it has tropical fruit aromas similar to those found in sauvignon blanc, like grapefruit, peach and green pepper. It also has a nice wet stone aroma. The longer this wine opens up, the more prominent the peach becomes and the green pepper falls into the background.

This wine is a blend of 70% Cabernet Sauvignon and 30% Malbec. This wine spent 22 months in French oak casks. The residual sugar is 2 grammes per litre and the total acidity is 5.75 grammes per litre.

This wine was imported by Apricot AB.

The 2010 release is a blend cabernet sauvignon ( 77%), merlot ( 10%), petit verdot ( 6%), malbec ( 4%) and cabernet franc. It sees 19 months in French oak, about half of which is new.
